Again better but not 16 times better.Īlso when EA or some other more reputable/skilled developer says something like this I'll listen but Lucasarts isn't even in the top 10 especially as far as consoles go.ĮDIT: Spelling, I can't type worth a shit when I'm high.
STAR WARS BOUNTY HUNTER GAMECUBE WAD PS2
I've always said and will continue to say the GC and PS2 are for the most part equally in the graphics department with the scale leading towards the GC. It also has a higher frequency processor(although not as powerful as the PS2's) with 24MB 10ns 1T-SRAM running at 2.4gb/sec it was decent performance meanwhile the PS2's vetor units with 32MB 3.2GB/sec main system RAM just about even the two. But when you factor in the Gamecube's great texture compression and slighty faster FPU it gets the edge in most cases. It has a peak bandwidth of 10.6GB/sec compared to the PS2's 48GB/sec peak bandwidth. The GameCube has a 2MB Framebuffer and 1MB Texture cache of 6.2ns 1T-SRAM.
STAR WARS BOUNTY HUNTER GAMECUBE WAD PLUS
Plus look at their past PS2 offerings, not quite the l33t coders.Īlso the GC has 4 times more VRAM than the PS2 to have more detailed textures. The GC definitely has better hardware but Lucasarts has always talked about how "Hard" the PS2 is to program for.
